It was a long weekend with Johnny teething. Johnny was not happy and pulled two all-nighters. Finally, he is back to being happy. Here is a picture of our little buddy.

Double Trouble in the Near Future
Fortunately, this picture was staged; but I am sure that it won’t be long before Johnny is “tailgating” with his brother.
Fall 2013
Jimmy’s weeks are now filled with lots of therapy. In addition to speech, he is also getting occupational therapy too! Also, he is now attending a therapy play group for additional services. He is really loving the OT, as it is very play focused. He doesn’t even realize he is getting a true workout to improve muscle tone. Just since August, we have seen drastic improvement with Jimmy’s speech development. His favorite words are “More”, “Bus”, and “Beep”. We could not be more pleased with his progress. His vocabulary now exceeds 50 words!
Johnny has been very alert and more engaged with his surroundings. He is a big fan of sports, especially now that football season is underway. He is nearly sitting on his own with a wobble. It won’t be long before he is on the move!
Jimmy and Johnny have joined up with some friends for a weekly play day. They ventured to the zoo with them and really enjoyed seeing the animals. The boys really enjoy going on walks and roaming the leaf-filled backyard. They also have been checking out the local parks that are walking distance away. It is the start of many adventures together!

On the Way to Cape May
Our family vacation this year was in Cape May. We started out the week with our cousin’s wedding and a family BBQ. Over the weekend, the boys headed to the beach at the bay. It was the first time that Jimmy was at the water’s edge. At first he was a bit timid, but once he saw Mommy in the water, he was eager to venture to the gentle waves of the bay. Johnny chilled in his special beach tent.
Later in the week, we went to the Cape May Zoo with Pop. We also went to a museum of historic NJ buildings. Jimmy was very happy exploring the outdoors! Jimmy headed to the North Cape May Fireworks Show. We ended the week with a family beach day, where Jimmy played in the sand and learned how to make a sand castle.
Over the week, we think that Johnny had a growth spurt! As of the 4th of July, Johnny is now 4 months old and very alert. He enjoys his hopper and will kick away to any music that is playing.
