On the Way to Cape May

Our family vacation this year was in Cape May.  We started out the week with our cousin’s wedding and a family BBQ.  Over the weekend, the boys headed to the beach at the bay.  It was the first time that Jimmy was at the water’s edge.  At first he was a bit timid, but once he saw Mommy in the water, he was eager to venture to the gentle waves of the bay.  Johnny chilled in his special beach tent.

Later in the week, we went to the Cape May Zoo with Pop.  We also went to a museum of historic NJ  buildings.  Jimmy was very happy exploring the outdoors!  Jimmy headed to the North Cape May Fireworks Show.  We ended the week with a family beach day, where Jimmy played in the sand and learned how to make a sand castle.

Over the week, we think that Johnny had a growth spurt!  As of the 4th of July, Johnny is now 4 months old and very alert.  He enjoys his hopper and will kick away to any music that is playing.

All Smiles for Father’s Day

Just in time for Father’s Day, Johnny is now smiling.  He choos and then will have the biggest grin.  He is truly a happy baby!  Jimmy and Johnny also finger painted and hand stamped artwork for Daddy.  Daddy even got a new bike riding partner with a bike seat for Jimmy.

Yogurt with Pop

It is so fun to eat frozen yogurt with Pop.

Great News

Although this week was filled with appointments, the outcomes were such a relief.  Over the past year, we have been monitoring a bump on Jimmy’s back.  Our hopes were that it was another hemangioma, like the one on his head.  Via a follow up ultra-sound, we confirmed that the bump is no longer, removing the possible need for surgery.  Afterwards, we headed to John’s cardiologist appointment.  He had another EKG and Echocardiogram.  Even with a fast heartbeat, the doctor confirmed that all was functioning as it should and we are now on an every 3 month monitoring plan.  Both appointments were reassuring and yet another milestone of a good health!  As a side note, Johnny is now 10 pounds!

Sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa’s

Mommy and Daddy headed to a friend’s wedding and Grandma and Grandpa watch the boys.  I don’t know who had more fun — the grandparents, the grandkids, or Dunder!  It was a busy night filled with painting, music making, and crafts.  The next day was also an adventure with camping in the backyard.
